VOA Gets $60,000 For Milestones Children’s Home

Volunteers of America Northern Rockies announced in a media release Friday that they have received a $60,000 donation from the S.K. Johnston Family Fund of the Wyoming Community Foundation. They will use the grant to defray the construction costs of their recently completed Milestones Children's Home.

“The contribution from the S.K. Johnston Family Fund was vital in ensuring our organization the fiscal resources to construct the new Milestones Children's Home which has improved the safety and service we offer to children in Sheridan and Johnson counties, VOA Northern Rockies President and CEO Jeffrey Holsinger said in the release. “We are very grateful to the Johnston Family's generosity and support in this project.”

Completed in one year ago in December 2010, the Milestones Children's Home is a group home and crisis shelter for girls and boys ages 10 to 17.

The Wyoming Community Foundation is a nonprofit group that works to preserve the funds of various entities across the state, making sure that the funds go to benefit community needs in Wyoming.
