UW Pres: Looking To 2012 In Laramie

As students return to Laramie this weekend to prepare for Spring 2012 classes, President Tom Buchanan says it's a great time to come see some of the things happening at the University of Wyoming.

Buchanan explained some of what UW is looking forward to in 2012

He shared some projects in the near future.

The Berry Biodiversity Center, with donor Robert and Carol Berry of Sheridan, was designed by architect firm Malone Belton Abel in Sheridan. It was dedicated a year ago in January. And is “a space for cross-disciplinary collaboration and communication to facilitate progress toward a complex goal: an understanding of biological diversity and the importance of diversity for the maintenance of ecological structure and processes,” according to the center's website. The new Business Building is also worth checking out, recently completed and in full use.

Look for the final part of our series with UW President Buchanan on Monday when he discusses UW as they look to the upcoming legislative session.

Classes resume on Monday, January 9.
