Veteran's Day Observances Friday in Buffalo

Buffalo's Annual Veteran's Day Services will be presented Friday Morning, Veteran's Day, at 11 am.

The parade of veterans of all wars will assemble at Fort and Adams Streets and march to the Veteran's Memorial on Main Street for the ceremonies.

The Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance will be presented by Nels Lofgren, Sgt., US Air Force, Ret.

That will be followed by the Flag Ceremony, presented by the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries.

Music will be presented by the Clear Creek Choir, under the direction of Allison Voigt. This year's address will be given by Dan Thiele of the American Legion Auxiliary.

And the Benediction will be given by Lofgren, followed by the firing squad volley and “Taps” by buglers from the Buffalo High School Music Department.

The ceremonies are a way for everyone to pay respect and homage to all veterans. Afterward, the American Legion will host an open house at their facilities on Veterans Avenue to which the public is welcome.
