VA Hosts Welcome Home Ceremony Monday

The Sheridan Veterans Affairs Medical Center is hosting a welcome home ceremony for veterans of all wars. Public Affairs director for the VA, Jackie VanMark, says the event was originally designed to provide late, but very necessary, recognition for veterans of thankless wars, such as Vietnam or Korea. However, the event has grown into a statewide celebration of our community's war fighters.

Wyoming Governor, Matt Mead, will join Brig. Gen. Kenneth Reiner in a formal ceremony in the VA auditorium at 0830 Monday.

The ceremony coincides with several other celebrations happening around the state in recognition of Wyoming Welcome Home Day.
