UW Trustees Approve Contract With Search Consultant

Posted in

The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees held a special meeting Monday, where they selected a consulting firm to assist with the search for a new president of the university. Information released by the university states that the trustees unanimously voted to approve a contract with the firm of Storbeck Pimentel, and that an adjustment in the search timeline, as requested by the search firm, may be considered to change the target date of identifying a new president by January.

While a specific date has not been agreed upon, the board indicated that advertising for the position opening will begin shortly. Applicants for the position will be reviewed by two committees composed trustees, students, faculty and staff members, UW Foundation representatives and members of the public. The names of the applicants will be confidential until the list of finalists is released.
