UW Student Support Program Renewed for Five Years

Posted in

The University of Wyoming will receive $374,000 dollars annually for five years to continue a program that helps students prepare for college life and careers after graduation.

The U.S. Department of Education awarded the grant to the Student Success Services program.

Associate Director Mike Wade says the program assists more than 230 students, including those that are first-generation and low-income.

The director says students are 21-percent more likely to graduate within six years than students who would be eligible for the program, but who do not receive the services.
