The University of Wyoming is in the process of developing a strategic plan that will help guide the university over the next five years.

UW President Dr. Laurie Nichols is currently traveling the State to garner ideas and feedback from residents to help shape the strategic plan. Nichols, along with other officials from the university will be in Sheridan next Thursday to engage with the public during a strategic plan listening session at the UW Watt Building, room 131-132 on the campus of Sheridan College. The listening session will be from 12:15 to 1:45.

UW Spokesperson Chad Baldwin says the session is part of a 10 city tour, where all of the input will be taken into consideration when developing the strategic plan.

Baldwin explains the next step after all of the information is gathered from the various meetings.

Baldwin said that they intend to have the strategic plan in place for the start of the next fiscal year, which is July 1.
