UW Nursing Student Receives Internship, Another Honored at Convocation

Posted in

Ten University of Wyoming junior nursing students recently received summer nursing internships. Among those chosen was Sheridan’s Morgan Jacobs. According to Chad Baldwin, UW’s Director of Institutional Communications, most of the internships will be with the University of Colorado or the UCHealth system.

Jacobs received her internship at UCHealth in either Fort Collins or Loveland, CO. Another UW nursing student from Sheridan was honored for his contributions during the recent nursing convocation ceremony. Baldwin said that Drew Adriaens received the Rudolph “Rudy” and Louise Anselmi and Jeri Kirk Family Trust Nursing Scholarship.

The Scholarship awarded to Adriaens was due to his demonstration of leadership and responsibility in the program. The award was created by Rudolph Anselmi, who was instrumental in sponsoring legislation that authorized the establishment of the UW School of Nursing in 1951.
