The University of Wyoming's Stable Isotope Facility has received an $80,000 grant from the National Science Foundation. The grant will be used to analyze soil samples from across the country. Facility Director Craig Cook says the contract allows the university to analyze soils as part of the National Ecological Observatory Network.

While the contract will boost the lab’s operations, Cook says the national recognition is far more important. He says it recognizes the University as one of the elite facilities for stable isotope analysis in the United States.
