Upfront and Center Stage

It's becoming a Sheridan tradition as over a hundred music lovers filled the Sheridan Holiday Inn's atrium Saturday, to enjoy the 14th annual Sheridan Tuba Christmas.

Tubas are always found in the back of the band, but Tuba Christmas gives tuba players that chance to be up front and center, bringing the melody. Conductor and coordinator Ariel Downing says that's quite a treat.

The 20-plus member band was made up of tuba players from Montana, Arizona, and across Wyoming. Downing says there's just something special about a tuba.

Sheridan's Tuba Christmas was part of the 40th annual Tuba Christmas held world-wide.
