University of Wyo. Extends President's Contract

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - University of Wyoming President Tom
Buchanan's contract will be extended by another two years to 2014. The Star-Tribune reports that the university trustees approved the contract extension Friday. Buchanan has been president since 2005. His annual salary is $300,000. He also receives a $42,000 yearly housing allowance and an estimated $6,000 for a vehicle and insurance.
During his tenure, the university has enjoyed an influx of funds from the state and private donors and undertaken more than $500 million in capital construction projects.
