The Sheridan County Sheriff's Office has received several reports over the last few weeks of cabin burglaries in the the Bighorn Mountains near the Burgess Junction area, specifically along the Tongue, Big Willow, Little Willow, and North Tongue drainages. Sheridan County Sheriff Dave Hofmeier says that two arrests have been made in connection to the crimes.

Hofmeier gives us some insight on the two individuals that were arrested by the Sheriff's Deputy.

Hofmeier pointed out that the investigation continues as there may be additional participants or co-conspirators in the burglaries, and that the Sheriff's Office is still working on recovering all of the stolen property.

Both of the individuals have been charged with three counts of burglary, and Gilkey has also been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the alleged crimes. Both are currently incarcerated in the Sheridan County Detention Center and will make their initial appearance in Sheridan County Circuit Court Thursday.
