Two Accept Write-in Nominations

Two people have accepted write-in nominations and will be on the ballots for municipal offices in November.

Gayle Ogle of Ranchester will be on the General Election ballot for a two-year spot on Ranchester's town council. Darryl Szymansky of Sheridan accepted nomination for a four-year seat on Sheridan's city council.

They are among five write-in residents who qualified to run for election in November by receiving three or more write-in votes in last week's Primary Election. Ogle qualified for both a two-year and four-year position on Ranchester's council, and opted for the two-year seat.

Sheridan County Election Clerk Brenda Kekich sent certified letters to all five candidates. Chuck Wells and Thayer Shafer were also write-ins for a four-year spot on Sheridan's city council. Shafer won a place on the General Election ballot for a two-year seat on the council. Jesse Hinkhouse of Ranchester also qualified for the two-year seat on Ranchester's council but has not yet accepted the nomination.
