Tuition Changes Approved by UW Trustees

Recently, the University of Wyoming Board of Trustees, following a multiyear tuition policy adopted in 2014, voted to increase tuition by 4% during the 2019-20 academic year. Chad Baldwin, UW Vice President for Communications and Marketing, explained more about the increase.

Baldwin said that there are three exceptions to the increase; online graduate programs for nonresidents and two other specific online programs. Funds raised from the tuition increase will be used for services dedicated to student success, including recruitment and retention of high quality faculty and staff, and a sharpened focus on four year graduation and job placement after graduation.
