Tuba Christmas Provides Unique Sounds Of The Season

Tuba Ensemble! That’s what you would have heard if you were one of hundreds gathered at the Sheridan Holiday Inn atrium on Saturday afternoon. The “Tuba Christmas” Ensemble spent nearly two hours playing all sorts of Christmas music. Bob Rolston was one of those attending the event.

Musicians from throughout Wyoming, including several from Sheridan, joined others from as far away as Washington, D.C. Tuba Christmas was first conceived in 1974 as a way of honoring tuba player and teacher William J. Bell. Bell was born on Christmas Day in 1902.
