A November 5th trial date was set Tuesday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan for 52-year-old Joshua Kaplan, who is charged with Felony Theft for stealing a vehicle from a Sheridan car dealership on May 7.

On May 9, Kaplan, and another man, Kevin Esham, were arrested in Minnesota for being in possession of two vehicles that were stolen from Sheridan Motor, a 2019 Jeep Cherokee valued at over $36,000, and a 2019 Dodge Ram, valued at over $47,000.

Kaplan entered a plea of “not guilty” at Tuesday’s arraignment hearing. District Court Judge John Fenn set the date for a pretrial conference for October 8 at 11 am. The two-day #5 stack trial is scheduled to begin on Monday, November 4. If convicted, Kaplan faces up to 10 years in prison and fines of up to $10,000.
