The Trail End Historic Site will be reopening for the season on April 1, with not only a new exhibit but in celebration of the Kendrick Mansion's 100th anniversary.

Cynde Georgen, site superintendent at Trail End, shares a little bit about the new exhibit entitled "From Dream Home to Historic House."

Work on the nearly 14,000 square-foot mansion began in 1908 and was completed in 1913. Displays and exhibits from that era, as well as original artifacts, will be on display at the site beginning next month between 1 and 4 p.m. every day - with extended hours on Memorial Day weekend.

The Trail End Guilds will also be hosting its Speakeasy Party this Saturday night at the Black Tooth Brewing Company as a fundraiser for the Kendrick Mansion. Doors open at 5 p.m. and admission in $10, and 1920s-1930s garb is encouraged.
