The tractor pull at this year's Sheridan County Fair was a success, and the organizers want to hold the event again next year.

Spokesman Dean Roberts.

Roberts said the event was a group effort that involved not only the Sheridan Area Pullers Association.

There were others as well that Roberts said he wanted to thank.

Fairgrounds Facilities Manager Jamie Ringley said earlier this was the first tractor pull at the fairgrounds since he's been there, and Roberts said the pullers' association does want to have the event again next year. In fact, he said, the association would like to have more than just one tractor pull.

He said having the event in the middle of this year's fair was excellent, because the event drew some of the fair crowd as well as those who came just to see the pull. He said he didn't have an exact count, but there were probably around 15 tractors in this year's event.

Roberts said the tractor pull is open to anyone who has a tractor vintage 1960 or older, and anyone is welcome to join the association.
