Tongue River Complex Fires Burn in Montana

Two fires are burning in Rosebud County, Montana on Miles City District BLM Lands. The Tongue River Complex was started by an undetermined source and has already covered 15,400 acres of land. The complex, which contains the previously reported Witten and Lee Creek Fires, is currently being combated by a Type 2 Incident Management Team.

In total, 3 crews with 136 personnel and 17 engines are fighting the blaze. Containment is currently at 5% and fire managers report that the fire should be contained by Saturday. To follow this incident as it develops, follow this link
