Third Thursday Street Festival And Farmers Market Done For Season

Earlier this summer the Sheridan business community got together and decided they needed an event to draw people downtown. In previous years the “Alive After Five” program had businesses staying open late on Thursdays in the summer.

Drawing on the success of the Christmas Stroll and taking pieces of the Alive After Five idea, led to the Third Thursday Street Festival. The once-a-month event grew exponentially throughout the summer. What do people think of the event?

Last night the final Street Festival of the season was held in downtown Sheridan. It also coincided with the final Farmer’s Market for 2009. The market was held just two blocks away in Whitney Commons.
