There's Still Time to Nominate a Teacher for the Arch Coal Awards

There's still time to nominate a teacher for the 2012-2013 Arch Coal Teacher Achievement Awards. The nomination deadline is January 7, according to Vice President of External Affairs for Arch Coal's western region, Greg Schaefer. Schaefer says this is the thirteenth year teachers will be recognized.

The teacher awards program honors 10 teachers annually throughout the state of Wyoming. Members of the public can nominate a teacher by filling out a written application at archteacherawards.com. Additionally, applications are available at local schools, libraries, Taco John's and Loaf 'N Jug stores.

After the applications are submitted, they will be reviewed by a panel of judges made up of former award winners.

The 10 winning teachers will receive a personal cash award of $3,500 from the Arch Coal Foundation. The foundation, run by Arch Coal, Inc., says in a media release they support teacher recognition efforts and grant programs across the country.
