TETON COUNTY HISPANICS POPULATION

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. (AP) - U.S. Census Bureau figures show the Hispanic population in Teton County has more than doubled in the last eight years. The figures show the Hispanic population in the county was estimated to be 2,540 as of July 1, 2008. There was an estimated 1,185 Hispanics in the county in 2000. The figures were released Wednesday. The increase includes Jackson residents. Teton County's total population was estimated to be 20,376 in 2008. The Economic Analysis Division of the Wyoming Department of Administration and Information says Hispanics account for about 60 percent of the county's growth.
