Teen Reaches Plea Deal in Fatal Casper Shooting

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Another man accused in the fatal shooting of a Casper man during an attempted robbery has reached a plea deal with prosecutors. Reports indicate that 18-year-old Jonathan Kyle Mahaffey appeared in court Friday and agreed to plead guilty to aiding and abetting second-degree murder in the slaying of Chad Ferguson.

Nineteen-year-old Dustin Doyle has also reached a tentative deal with prosecutors. Last month, 23-year-old Edward Lee Hays pleaded guilty to first-degree murder, admitting that he fired the fatal shots. The three are accused of trying to rob Ferguson on June 20th to get money and drugs.
