Teen Murderer Appeals Life Sentence

Teen Murderer Appeals Life Sentence

A lawyer representing a Sheridan teen serving life in prison without parole in a 2009 home invasion killing has asked the Wyoming Supreme Court to reduce the sentence.

Lawyer Diane Courselle represents Dharminder Vir Sen, one of three teenagers convicted in the murder of Sheridan businessman Robert Ernst.
Sen was 15 at the time of the crime and authorities say he fired the fatal shots.

Courselle recently filed a written argument with the state supreme court saying that a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling invalidating mandatory life sentences for juveniles should require Sen to get a lesser sentence.
