Teachers, Students Wanted For Carousel Learning Center

The New Cowboy Carousel Center, which will be located at the old Beutler Building on North Lobban Street, is looking for teachers to teach and students to learn any subject where they can be brought together.

Non-credit, community-based continuing education is what the Carousel Committee is interested in bringing to the public. Any number of subjects: art, creative writing, bookkeeping, music instruction, cooking classes; can be offered if an instructor and a student can be brought together.

Arnette Tiller, with the Carousel Committee, tells us more about the continuing education program.

Classes can range from a one-time class to a weekly on-going series of classes, she said, it will really be up to the instructor and the students to find a day or days and times that work for them.

Tiller said instructors do not have to have a degree in the subject they are sharing.

The Carousel Committee is looking to begin the continuing education program in January or February of 2013, so those interested in becoming involved should contact them to begin the process.
