Suspended Sentence for Sheridan Woman Charged With Child Endangerment

A Sheridan woman was sentenced Thursday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sherdian for a crime she committed earlier this year.

Pursuant to the terms of a plea agreement reached with the Prosecution, District Court Judge John Fenn sentenced 28-year-old Nakeisha Pacheco to 2 to 4 years in prison, suspended in lieu of 3-years of supervised probation. Fenn also ordered Pacheco to pay $310 in various court costs and $500 in attorney fees.

Pacheco, in January, was charged with Endangering Children for having the care or custody of a child, and knowingly and willfully permitting the child to remain in a room, dwelling or vehicle where that person knows that methamphetamine is possessed, stored or ingested.
