Stargazers will be treated to a rare astrological spectacle tonight as the “Super Moon” takes to the night skies.

Not only will the moon be full, but it will appear as much as 14 percent larger and 30 percent brighter because it's as close to Earth as it ever comes in its orbit. A moon this big and bright won't be seen again until the summer of 2015.
