Superintendent Hill Issues Statement Regarding Return to Education Department

Last week, Superintendent of Public Instruction for Wyoming, Cindy Hill issued a news release that stated she'd be returning to the Department of Education Monday to reclaim her role and duties as superintendent.

While Hill and her staff attempted to transition back into the department Monday, things didn't necessarily go according as planned, as Hill pointed out during an afternoon media conference.

Hill added that Crandall informed her staff that Wyoming Attorney General Peter Michael has concluded the law remains in effect until a district court judge rules otherwise. The Wyoming Supreme Court in January ruled that the law enacted last year that stripped the superintendent's post of its authority over the education department was unconstitutional.
