Sheridan High School students presented $2,000 in checks to Sheridan Memorial Hospital's Welch Cancer Center during a meeting of the hospital board Wednesday night.

Members of the Future Business Leaders of America donated $1,500 raised in t-shirt sales, while representatives of the SHS Student Council gave $500.

In another presentation, Hospital CEO Mike McCafferty presented an overview of the hospital's master plan, including a drawing of what the hospital might look like at some future date.

McCafferty told hospital trustees that the plans at this stage are concepts for what might happen 25 to 30 years in the future.

Also during the meeting, Ada Kirven, who's director of donor relations for the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation, said this year's Employee Partner Breakfast will be next week, on Dec. 13.

The annual breakfast is a way for the foundation to celebrate those employees who donate a portion of their paychecks to the foundation, and employees have a chance to vote on how they want the funds they donate to be used.
