The National Weather Service Office in Billings, Montana, in cooperation with the Sheridan County Emergency Management Agency will be conducting a SKYWARN spotter training session in Sheridan this Thursday. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.

In addition to the Doppler radar information the National Weather Service uses to track severe thunderstorms, they depend on trained volunteers on the ground to help report bad weather when it occurs. Thursday night in Sheridan there will be a SKYWARN spotter training session for those interested in being a severe weather spotter.
