Stockgrowers Present Awards At Buffalo Meetings

The Wyoming Stockgrowers Association held their annual Cattle Industry Convention and Trade Show at Buffalo's Bomber Mountain Civic Center last week, and the culmination of the week-long event was the Awards Luncheon last Friday.

After a short speech from Governor Matt Mead, the association presented their awards for 2017.

Melinda Sims, Vice Chair of the association's AG Promotion, Education & Enhancement Committee, presented the Environmental Stewardship Award and the Leopold Conservation Award to the Garrett Ranch from Natrona County.

She spoke about some of the achievements they have made to earn the awards.

Also presented were Quade Palm with the Clifford B. Hansen Memorial Scholarship; Jim Mischke for the Outstanding Range Professional award; and Phillip Ellis for the Guardians of the Grasslands award.
