Stay Healthy During the Holidays

Next week is Thanksgiving and that means most will begin their holiday season eating. According to Dr. Erin Nitschke, a Sheridan Health Coach and Fitness Nutrition Specialist, some may let the bad habits of the season carry over.

Behaviors that carry over include calorie heavy food and a drop in intentional activity. This seems to be caused by the break in a healthy routine during the holidays and then people have a hard time getting back into it. Dr. Nitschke said that there are some little things that you can do to maintain a healthy lifestyle during the holidays.

Most importantly, keep doing the exercise that you normally do. Also hosting a get together or bringing a couple of healthy dishes with you to a party will give you the choice to cut some of your calorie intake. For more tips on how to stay healthy during the holidays follow this link
