Constitutional Amendment A was given the thumbs up by voters in Wyoming Tuesday, as the amendment passed by a majority of those who cast a ballot in the election, which is a requirement to amend the State’s Constitution.

State Treasurer Mark Gordon said the passing of the Amendment will now allow the State to invest specified, non-permanent funds in equities.

Gordon said the Amendment will go into effect after the results are canvassed by the State Canvassing Board, and Governor Matt Mead signs it into effect. He said the canvassing board is scheduled to meet Wednesday, November 16.
