We conclude our series today highlighting the finalists for this year’s Start-Up Challenge entrepreneur competition sponsored by the Wyoming Technology Business Center in Sheridan. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

The WTBC is hosting “Pitch Night” tonight at the WYO Theater in downtown Sheridan, where the five finalists of this year’s Start-Up Challenge competition will present their ideas before a panel of judges.

One of those finalists is Chelsea Paulus, creator of Connect Speech Therapy, an innovative in-home speech therapy practice serving individuals with speech impairments, reading and writing difficulties, memory challenge, and other speech therapy needs. Paulus says that her job with Sheridan County School District #1 as a Speech Language Pathologist is what prompted her to start the business in June.

Paulus talks about how winning the competition would benefit her business.

Tonight’s Pitch Night is free and open to the public and will take place at the WYO Theater 5:30 pm. The top three entrepreneurs will each receive a $5,000 award, pro bono legal counsel from Davis & Cannon, and the opportunity to apply for additional working capital from a $50,000 seed fund.
