Registration for spring Sheridan County Soccer Association is open and there will be an open registration session held from 4:30 to 7 pm today in the Sheridan County School District 2 board room.
Interest in soccer in Sheridan is always growing, says Kristen Averett, SCSA board president.
She said that these days they are getting numbers upwards of 150 kids in the spring. Teams compete across Wyoming and even in Colorado, Montana and South Dakota. The Snickers tournament in May held at the Equestrian center brings 115 teams from across the region.
The mission of SCSA is to promote soccer in Sheridan County for boys and girls ages 9 to 14. 15-year-olds can play if they are in the eighth grade and children turning 9 by August 1, 2012. Those not able to attend can follow steps listed under the “registration” tab and register online. Visit sheridansoccer.org to find out more.
The SCSA meets the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30 in the second-floor board room.
