The Special Olympics Torch made its way through Sheridan Monday morning as local law enforcement began their trek to Buffalo from the Sheridan County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Dave Hofmeier commented on the 2010 Special Olympics Torch Run just prior to being handed the torch.

The Flame of Hope will be carried more than 500 miles by over 40 different Law Enforcement agencies to the Special Olympics Wyoming Summer Games opening ceremonies in Laramie on Thursday, May 20th.
