The Exhibit Hall at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds became a mini hospital over the weekend as hundreds of cats and dogs went under the knife

It was the first annual spay and neuter clinic called “Be a Winner-Prevent a Litter,” hosted by the Second Chance Sheridan Cat Rescue.

Rachel Kristiansen works with the Sheridan Cat Rescue and has spent the last six months preparing for the clinic and says the proof is
in the numbers.

Over 400 thankful owners brought their pets in for the event.

Charlotte Bohrne was there with her pooch “Dexter." She came because she didn’t want any little “Dexters” running around.

The wait was long, for some over three hours. Kristiansen made no apologies.

Next year’s clinic is already being planned Four local veterinarians donated their time, plus vets from Jackson, Cody, Montana, and Colorado helped with the free clinic.
