SO, Goose Valley Respond to Tractor Fire

Sheridan County sheriff's deputies and the Goose Valley Volunteer Fire Department responded to a tractor fire on Coffeen Avenue in Sheridan on Sunday morning.

Sheriff Dave Hofmeier said the fire was out when deputies and firefighters arrived, and no injuries or property damage were reported.

The sheriff said the incident happened shortly after 9 o'clock, in the 5300 block of Coffeen Avenue. He said an individual tried to start an older model tractor, and the engine caught fire. The sheriff said a couple of neighbors brought fire extinguishers and helped put out the blaze. He said the fire was the result of engine problems, and there was no evidence of foul play.
