The Sheridan County Public Works office and Road and Bridge department estimate it will be at least two weeks before Red Grade Road opens.

A public information bulletin on the county's website says the snotel site at Dome Lake is showing 42 inches of snow with 12 inches of moisture. Big Goose site shows 27 inches of snow and 11 inches of moisture. Those numbers indicate the road probably won't be passable until Memorial Day weekend or even afterward. Last year, the road partially opened May 28, so this year's schedule is mimicking last year's trend.
