SMH Receives Check for Final Pledge for ER Project

Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation Executive Director Ada Kirven announced to the Hospital Board of Trustees Wednesday that the Foundation has received the final pledge for the Emergency Room expansion project.

The final pledge from the Griffith Foundation was a check in the amount of $187,000. The $2.4 million ER expansion project was completed in June of 2006. The project increased the ER Department from 2,800 square feet, to 12,300 square feet. Hospital Chief Financial Officer Ed Johlman stated during the board meeting that once the check is deposited and goes through, the hospital will be debt free for the time being.
