The Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation works closely with the hospital to meet the hospital's needs for funding.

Cody Sinclair, who's the chief development officer for the foundation, in an interview with Sheridan Media, explained how the foundation's recent gift of over $100,000 to the hospital came about.

The funds presented earlier this week are the total of eight separate requests from the hospital, amounting to more than $102,000 worth of equipment to seven hospital departments. Individual requests ranged from $3,900 for a probe for the radiology department to nearly $28,000 for an ultrasonic cleaner for the hospital's central sterile department.

Funds will provide a gurney/stretcher and 12 mattresses for the hospital's emergency department as well as external pacemakers for the cath lab and equipment for the laboratory, intensive care unit and surgery.
