Slick Roads Contribute to Crashes

Slick roads contributed to two accidents that reportedly resulted in injuries Wednesday.

A Rocky Mountain Ambulance crew was called to John Lane near Story shortly before 6 Wednesday night when the driver of a delivery van slid off the road while attempting a right-hand turn. The van went over an embankment and tipped on its side.

Sheriff's Lt. Mark Conrad said the incident report indicated the driver sustained minor injuries, but no information was available regarding whether the driver was transported to the hospital.

Sheridan police reported that a vehicle slid off the roadway into a ditch on Fifth Street shortly before noon on Wednesday. The report indicated injury was involved, but Rocky Mountain Ambulance wasn't called to the scene, and no other information is available. According to police, the driver of the vehicle was cited for traveling at speeds greater than reasonable for conditions.
