A class designed to help beginners and the not-so-experienced musicians to learn to jam with others will be presented this fall in Buffalo, and those interested are encouraged to sign up for the classes which begin in October.

Veteran musician and experienced jammer Lynn Young will be teaching the class, which will use the Wernick Method to illustrate how to jam Bluegrass music.

The classes will teach students, in a small group setting with a coach, how to lead songs; to learn new songs quickly using a numbering system;how to fake a basic solo on the fly; how to find melodies on their instrument; and how to sing 3-part harmonies.
Only four chords, (G, C, D,and A) are needed to learn many bluegrass standards, and reading music is not necessary. Ear-skills are taught and emphasized.

The classes are open to both adults and kids, and are scheduled for Sunday afternoons from 2 to 5 beginning October 15th and running through December 3rd.
The classes will be at the Buffalo Senior Center.

The cost for the eight sessions is $185 through October 1st; then $195; returning students are $150; 18 and under are $125; or 2-plus siblings are $100 each.

Those interested can sign up online, and we have the link for the website here:
