The deadline is fast approaching to sign up for the Bluegrass Jam Class For Kids, to be presented this weekend through November.

Veteran musician, teacher, and former US Forest Service worker Lynn Young, known around the area for his performances with Too Wet To Plow and for co-organizing the annual Big Horn Mountain Music Festival, will be teaching the class using the Pete Wernick Method of bluegrass jamming.

Young explains more about what the class will teach those
attending.

The class begins this Sunday, September 28th, and those wanting to take the course should sign up now.
Either go to the website listed at the end of this story or show up to the class on Sunday and sign up.

The class will be presented every Sunday from 2 to 4:40pm at the Old Clear Creek School and is $125 for the eight sessions from this Sunday to November 16th. There will be a family concert on November 16th.

All bluegrass instruments are welcome: guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, bass and dobro. The only requirements are you must be able to tune your instrument, change chords smoothly between G, C, D, and A, and fiddles and basses should know which notes work with what chord.

To sign up, go to bgjam.com and click jam classes, call Young at 684-7592, or show up at the class this Sunday at 2pm.
