When Dan Lick, the founder and director of the People Assistance Food Bank heard a child share his frank attitudes towards law enforcement, he knew he had to do something. As a result, the Shop With a Cop program was created. Lick explains how the idea came about.

There will be an all-you-can-eat buffet at the Sheridan Palace between 5 and 8 p.m. this Wednesday. Each tickets goes towards the Shop With a Cop program, where disadvantaged youth in our community are paired with local law enforcement volunteers, and they all go shopping at K-Mart.

Lick says the shopping will take place on December 22 from 7 to 10 a.m. and he shares the details on how to help support Wednesday's fundraiser.

Tickets will also be available at the door of the Sheridan Palace on Wednesday night. Lick says he hopes to raise $5,000 for the program.
