Sheriff, Chief Remind Residents to Watch Out for Influx of Motorcycles

Every year, Sheridan County experiences an influx of motorcycles passing through during a three week period thanks in large part to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. It is not uncommon for riders to be circulating through the week before, the week of, and the week after the famous gathering of bikers. Sheridan County Sheriff Allen Thompson reminds motorists to be vigilant and aware of the increase in two wheeled vehicles.

There are also plenty of local riders that enjoy the warm weather by dusting off their saddlebags and going for a spin. Sheridan Police Chief Rich Adriaens reminds motorcyclists of some things to be cognizant of.

With the Sturgis Rally wrapping up Sunday, the increase in bikes could still last more than a week.
