A portion of Sheridan County is in the Bighorn National Forest and thus the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office is tasked with policing that land. With many cabins and campers in the mountains, Sheriff Allen Thompson said that they need the public’s help to catch those that try to commit thefts.

In addition to notifying law enforcement of suspicious behaviour, Sheriff Thompson encourages those that witness something strange to take photos and record license plates to give as much information to the responding Deputy as possible.
