Sheridan WYO Rodeo Parade Judges Announce Parade Winners

Here are the results of the judging for the 2009 Sheridan WYO Rodeo Parade.

The Sheridan Rotary Club Parade Judges would like to thank Linda Wigglesworth and her committee for an extremely well organized parade that proceeded on schedule.

The judges based the winners first on the entry's application of the parade theme. Second on originality and quality of the entry. Many contestants were disqualified automatically for throwing out candy. The Youth Organized division was the most difficult to judge as all of the participants put much thought and effort into their entrees.

re: candy

It is okay to toss candy to the kids, just not allowed from a moving vehicle. This protects the children running into the parade w/ horses and vehicles and also protects children on floats from falling off. If a parade entry wants to do candy, all they have to do is have some "walkers" to help them pass out the candy. Personally, my children came home with too much candy from the parade. But all is was parade day!

I guess that is a reasonable

I guess that is a reasonable policy.

Personally, I think it should be OK to toss candy to the kids.

I am a major picture person, I love to see what other people have taken and like to post them online for others to see. Where are all the photos???? I haven't found any yet of the parade or the rodeo for the past two nights and don't see any of the!

In God I Trust!

Location of pictures

Pictures are in the Photo Album, which is accessible via the top menu under both "News" and "Radio."

Click on the album name to view small thumbnail images. From the thumbnail page, if you click on the file name you will see a larger image, and the full size image can then be viewed by clicking "Original."

Also, you can click through large versions of each image in a slide show format by clicking on the actual thumbnail instead of the image name. With the slide show open, move the mouse to the right of the image and you will see a clickable arrow that will take you to the next picture. There is another arrow to the left that will take you back to the previous picture.

We are currently working on a fix to a glitch where the thumbnail images don't display correctly in Internet Explorer. In Firefox there is no issue.

In the future, when we have a large collection of pictures associated with a news story, we will link directly to the photo album in the story itself.
