Sheridan Will Get Business From Eclipse

The solar eclipse will be on Aug. 21, but Sheridan won't be in the path of totality.

However, Shawn Parker, who's executive director of Sheridan Travel and Tourism, said the city will still have a lot of tourist traffic.

He said Casper, Riverton and Jackson are all in the strip where the eclipse will be total.

Still, he said, Sheridan won't be entirely left out. He said he recently had a deal go through with a Japanese tour bus operator who will be bringing a group of people here for a few days first to see the eclipse, then to explore Wyoming.
