Sheridan Start-Up Challenge- K-Drive

Posted in

We conclude our series today on the five finalists for the Sheridan Start-Up Challenge, an entrepreneurial competition sponsored by the Wyoming Technology Business Center. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Sheridan residents Justin Koltiska and Garrett Kron are co-owners of K-Drive, a patented oil field tool that significantly improves efficiency and safety in the field. Koltiska explains a little bit about how the tool works.

Kron talks about their immediate plans for advancing the product.

Kron and Koltiska are one of five finalists vying to become one of three winners who’ll receive a $5,000 award, pro bono legal counsel from Davis and Cannon, and access to a $50,000 seed fund for working capital. The WTBC in Sheridan will host a “Pitch Day” event Tuesday, May 23 at 6 pm at the WYO Theater in downtown Sheridan where the five finalists will pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges. The three winners will be announced that evening during a reception, also at the WYO Theater.
